Davao Oriental

Cateel, Davao Oriental. The home of Aliwagwag Falls. One of the famous attractions in Mindanao.

Surigao del Sur

we were at the midst of exploring davao oriental and nearby attractions at that time, and to be honest, me and my group had no idea where were heading.. all the burden of making decisions on our behalf were in my cousin's hand and his friend, who happened to be our personal trip guide. one thing though... just like us, they were first timer! so altogether, we ended up having 'meet & greet' experienced with this so wonderful-lovely creation of God.

not to mention, it took us so longgggggg to figured out how to get there. road by road, miles by miles, more than 4 hours or i don't know exactly, blah blah blah, the bottom line is.. this place is not easy to get in!

in the small city of Bislig in Surigao del Sur, we found this amazing waterfalls, Tinuy-An.
yes, we had no idea of what this trip has to offer and yes, since no idea it means, no expectations as well. and the good thing i recall... it's indescribable! the moment we got out of the car, we were all captured, amazed and speechless!

Batangas

Last summer, we had 2 getaways held in Batangas. team and company outing. i can't say much details about this two resort cause i wasn't part of the organizing committee. but still it's worth a post because i couldn't deny the fact that for the very first time those two batangas beach resorts have been met my level of satisfaction.

Taramindu Beach Garden, in San Juan Laiya.
what i love about this resort was the serenity of the place. not crowded even if it has other resort side-by-side. they managed to maintain a peaceful and relaxing ambiance. the sands are not like the normal sands we see in any other batangas beaches.

Canyon Cove Resort, in Nasugbu
pricey compare to others. but i can say that the resort justified its rate. this is such a nice place to relax and have a moment to enjoy your sight seeing activity. the resort has a large pool that looks like an infinity pool and the beach near to it was clear and alluring.

(apologies of not having close-up shots, that time i don't feel like carrying anything while strolling around. so pictures i've posted were taken earlier and when we were at our room/pent house).

...look how excited and amazed we were :)

Ōmiya-ku, Saitama

A mere 10-minute travel away from my sister's home via shinkansen is the Omiya. If you wanted to get away from the loud city of tokyo, Omiya could be the best choice. It has so many malls, restaurants, bars like what you've usually seen in Tokyo yet the town feels much farther away from its hustle and bustle and a little bit quieter compare to the big city.

We walked all day long. explore all the streets and establishments within the vicinity of omiya. I did as much picture taking as my heart desired to. There are also lots of hotels for travelers, most of it are ideal base for seeing the sights - so there are no reasons not to love it.

One of the eye-catching features of Omiya includes food stalls, shopping malls, and restaurants. Almost all of items are available and lining on the streets. each and everyone has different kinds of style or design to attract buyers.

With regards to foods and restaurants - i would say you get more than what you asked for. There's a fair range of japanese and western dishes to choose from. and ofcourse my only option was the japanese cuisine. ramen gyoza gohan etc etc etc.

i wont be going too specific, all i wanted to say is - the Omiya, is a place where you can wander around. no need to rent for a car or anything. just walk freely and let your feet lead you ♥
